“We want to embrace sustainability, durability, and comfortability by combining the natural world with a themed environment. Some of Ringling’s missions are to decrease its carbon footprint, improve recyclability, and provide a space for students to excel. With this in mind, our redesigned Brickman Café will offer students opportunities to eat, study, and succeed, all the while reducing Ringling’s environmental impact.”

Design Process
Initial Project Research
This collaborative academic project challenged my group and I to redesign the pre-existing interior and exterior areas of Brickman Café into a modern, themed space. After conducting field study trips and interviews, establishing user profiles, defining our problems and opportunities, and researching similar project types, we were able to turn our ideas into reality!
